Image Harvest (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our Chrome extension handles your information. The short version: we do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.

Information We Collect

We do not collect any personal information. Image Harvest does not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:

• •Personal identification information (name, email, address)
• •Browsing history or URLs you visit
• •Images you download or view
• •Usage analytics or telemetry data
• •Cookies or tracking identifiers

How the Extension Works

All image processing — including extraction, filtering, color analysis, perceptual hashing, and format conversion — happens entirely within your browser. No image data is ever sent to our servers or any third party.

Local Storage

Image Harvest stores the following data locally on your device:

• •Extension settings — stored via chrome.storage.local (theme, layout density, filter preferences, etc.)
• •Image collections (Pro) — stored via local IndexedDB (saved image metadata, tags, and thumbnails)
• •License key (Pro) — stored locally for offline verification

This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.

Payment Processing

Pro license purchases are processed by PayPal. We do not have access to your payment card details. After a successful purchase, we generate and store only a License Key associated with your purchase — no personal payment information is retained on our systems.

Third-Party Services

The Reverse Image Search feature (available in the extension) allows you to look up images using external search engines. When you choose to use this feature:

• •The image URL is sent to the search engine you select (Google Images, TinEye, Baidu, or Yandex)
• •This action is only triggered by your explicit click — never automatically
• •The search engine's own privacy policy applies to that interaction

License Verification

For Pro users, the extension periodically verifies your License Key with our server to confirm its validity. This verification transmits only the License Key and a randomly generated device identifier — no personal data, browsing history, or image data is included.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer any user data to third parties. We do not use any analytics services, advertising networks, or data brokers.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
